How to Silence the Inner Critic That’s Sabotaging Your Success—For Good!

If you’ve ever had that little voice in your head whispering, “You’re not good enough,” “Who do you think you are?” “What if you fail?”—you’re not alone. That’s your inner critic, and left unchecked, it will run your life.

Why Your Inner Critic Exists (And Why It’s Wrong)

Your inner critic isn’t here to destroy you—it’s actually trying to protect you. It developed as a defense mechanism to keep you from taking risks, getting hurt, or feeling rejected. But in doing so, it also keeps you small.

The more you listen to this voice, the stronger it becomes. It feeds off fear, insecurity, and self-doubt. But what if you could turn that voice into a source of empowerment instead?

🎧 Want to break free from the inner critic’s grip? Tune into the Inner Power Insights Podcast for strategies on overcoming self-doubt.

How to Shut It Down

  1. Separate yourself from the voice. When the critic speaks, say: “That’s not me. That’s just an old fear talking.”

  2. Give it a name. Seriously—naming it makes it less powerful. Call it “Doubtful Dave” or “Critical Cathy.”

  3. Replace it with truth. Every time it tells you “You’re not enough,” counter it with: “I am more than enough, exactly as I am.”
